Series4 began unofficially in 2001 after the owner, just 18 at the time, had saved and purchased his first Porsche, a 1987 928 S4. The owner, Barry, wanted to create a performance shop that focused on exhaust and created the brand as a tip-of-the-hat to that first Porsche, which is where the name and logo originates. The S4 in 928 S4, actually means series four as it was the 4th iteration of the 928 model line.
It wasn't until 2011 that the shop had an official location in Seattle and was accepting retail business after gaining 10 years of Porsche knowledge. Barry left a career in aerospace in 2019 to focus full-time on the shop after moving the business to a decomissioned firehouse in 2017. He never looked back.
The reputation grew and is known as the enthusiast shop with attention to detail and an eye on style. Many highly-skilled partners have been added to the services arsenal to handle nearly any request. The shop operates by the motto, "If you're not going to do it right, don't do it at all."
New fabrication & specialty partners have enabled things such as long-travel Porsche control arms for safari projects, CAD designed parts, large format 3D scanning, composites, ECU tuning and logistics.
The future of Series4 will be evolving into a large facility to begin bespoke Porsche building with radical drivetrain and technology options with space to handle all the current offerings to keep our customers' cars taken care of.
As the aftermarket parts side of the business continues to grow, it will be transitioned to our new sister company, Renngruppe.
Stay tuned for an exclusive new Porsche wide body kit in collaboration with a well-known face in the "Really Wide Body" Porsche scene.
